Hurray! It's Friday!!! No classes today so I made up some student nameplates to share(still figuring out this blog sharing thing so please bear with me). The first set is basic. The second set is numbered (for up to a class of 30). It has a number line (1-10) and the SPANISH alphabet. Hope they are useful to at least some of you Dual Language Divas! ¡Feliz viernes!
Skipped my day three post so here's a combo with day four: So excited to have actually finished my second assignment last night AND ahead of schedule. Now to get in a little extra family time today and get a head start on the last two assignments. Lots going on in class this morning! Today's theme: videoconferencing! Our first visit was with Kevin from Berrien Resa. He went to the ISTE conference in San Diego last week and gave us a whole list of great tech resources and ideas for uses in the classroom. Next, we conferenced with NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Texas. Did you know they have some awesome opportunities for schools to videoconference with them? They have lots of interesting programs and activities for K-12. Their website is: http://dln.nasa.gov/. Feels like Christmas for this sort of tech geek!
Summer is flying by! Started the last of two summer classes today (technology for educators) and my mind is reeling. Survey monkey, Rubistar, Prezi, Sqworl ... lots of tech stuff to manage. PLUS I have to fit in as much Summer fun as I can before going back to work! I must admit, I'm already working on organization for the the new school year. Let's see if I have time to balance family, school and starting a new adventure by dipping my toe into the
blogosphere. In a few short weeks we'll be heading back to school and things will
get really busy! In the meantime: ¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!! I hope to
learn and share and have some fun out here. This is a work in progress
and I'm so happy you are joining me!!
